Glasgow Caledonian – the largest and leading modern university in Scotland - is a vibrant, values-led university with campuses in the heart of Glasgow and London. With a strong commitment to high quality education and research which supports the communities we serve, we have strong partnerships with employers to ensure our students get the careers they dream of and deserve.
As a lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging, you will contribute to high quality learning and teaching, assessment and student support. We are recruiting a lecturer who is HCPC registered with evidence of continued professional development. A PVG will be required for this role. We are seeking an individual who will enhance our reputation in delivery across our portfolio of pre and post registration programmes. Applications will be assessed on the applicant’s skills, knowledge and experience across the breadth of our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
Applications are invited from experienced HCPC registered Radiographers with prior experience of supporting Diagnostic Imaging student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education, and/or in practice settings. Evidence of Masters level study is essential. We recognise that applicants moving into higher education from other contexts (e.g., practice) may have limited direct experience of the requirements for the post. In such instances, they must outline their experience, skills and achievements in such a way as to demonstrate they meet the essential criteria. The Department of Podiatry and Radiography promotes innovation in learning and teaching and, therefore, individuals with experience of e-learning and online environments and those with a higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE are particularly desirable.
If you wish to know more about this role, or for an informal discussion, please feel free to contact Dr Diane Dickson, Head of Department at Diane.Dickson@gcu.ac.uk
As the University for the Common Good, we are committed to embedding equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as our values in everything that we do. As such, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates who demonstrate the GCU Values.
Please note that the appointment will be made on the first point of the salary scale (unless by exception).
