We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Interim Credit Control Manager on a fixed-term 6-month contract! This role is ideal for a proactive and results-driven professional ready to make a meaningful impact during a critical systems transition phase.
As a key support to the Credit Control Manager, you will leverage your expertise in global customer collections, navigating diverse processes and controls to drive success in a dynamic, international environment. Your ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders will be essential as you help shape the future of OTG’s operations.
Based in London, this position aligns with OTG’s “remote first” approach, enabling you to work remotely or coordinate with your manager for office-based needs. Your Voyage Ahead:
* Support Credit Control Operations: Collaborate closely with the Credit Control Manager to manage daily functions within the Credit Control Team, ensuring timely support across all credit control activities as part of OTG’s Shared Services.
* Team Leadership & Guidance: Provide guidance to team members in their daily tasks, addressing any challenges they face and ensuring consistency in processes and approaches to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work directly with internal and external stakeholders, including key account managers and clients, to address complex accounts. Proactively facilitate discussions to expedite outstanding payments and resolve any account-specific issues.
* Cash Collection Monitoring: Review and analyze factors currently affecting cash collection processes, identifying trends, bottlenecks, or recurring issues. Develop strategies to improve collection timelines and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Aged Debt Reduction: Conduct in-depth analysis on accounts with debts aged over 60 days. Collaborate with team members to recommend actions, prioritize high-risk accounts, and establish clear next steps to accelerate debt resolution and improve cash flow.
* Process and Control Improvement: Lead or participate in ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing key processes and controls, particularly as they relate to the new platform. Identify areas for process optimization and work collaboratively to design and implement improvements that support efficiency and accuracy.
* Additional Support for Operational Success: Take on additional tasks as required to support the company’s operational objectives. This may include special projects, cross-functional collaboration, and contributions to initiatives that drive the team’s success and alignment with organizational goals.
Recommended to bring on board
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within credit control or finance.
* Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining strong, effective controls within a finance team.
* Solid finance background with a proven track record of driving performance improvements and process optimization.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently, showing initiative and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience managing a global, multi-currency customer base, with an understanding of associated complexities.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite or other mid-sized ERP platforms.
* Understanding of subscription-based invoicing models and associated financial practices.
