Job Details
The Business Management Innovation Unit, within the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate, works with Services to drive change.
With a focus on improving business processes, encourage self-service and making the best use of technology, the team challenge and support Services to think differently and introduce new ways of working.
We are looking for two enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join the team, who can lead on a range of improvement projects and business change activities to agreed standards and deadlines.
Working closely with the BMIU Team Manager and Business Change Manager you will:
1. Work with managers and teams across the council to identify opportunities for change and improvement, ensuring that all customers receive high quality, value for money services.
2. Drive continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge, best practice and new technology is promoted and shared across the organisation.
3. Assess change readiness and develop project and communication plans that focus on delivering results.
4. Lead on the creation, delivery, and management of communications for change.
5. Develop strong collaborative relationships with Services and colleagues across the organisation to deliver change and improve business processes.
6. Monitor the impact of improvement projects, prepare reports with recommendations for senior managers, and ensure that benefits are realised.

While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
The Person
7. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience .
8. An ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
9. Be able to work in a dynamic and changing environment by managing and prioritising multiple, concurrent workstreams.
10. Confidence to work with colleagues, at all levels, including Senior Management.
11. Ability to deal with obstacles, using enthusiasm and communication to find a solution.
12. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, negotiation, influencing and facilitation.
13. Proactive and resilient mindset.
14. Organised approach to work, ensuring standards and deadlines are achieved.
We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
