Job Title: Hire Desk Team Leader - Formwork/Falsework
Location: Burton
Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 neg + Discretionary Bonus

Role Overview: The role of the Hire Desk Team Leader - Formwork/Falsework will involve:
1. Dealing with the hire & sale of a range of groundworks, reinforcements, concrete accessories, waterproofing and formwork and falsework.
2. Selling to main contractors including Kier, Laing O'Rourke, Skanska, Bam Nuttall, Ground Construction Ltd, Munnings etc.
3. Selling to builders merchants, end users and the trade.
4. Leading a customer service / hire desk team with 6 direct reports.
5. Coaching and developing team members to improve the scope of tasks which can be undertaken unsupervised while maintaining high levels of customer service.
6. Producing regular management reports to ensure business objectives are met.
7. Being the first point of contact for customers entering the hire & sales department.
8. Processing orders and monitoring projects from initial order to return.
9. Entering all information accurately and promptly into data systems and CRMs.
10. Dealing with projects ranging from small hire sales for £100 up to large bespoke projects of circa £600k.
Minimum Requirements: The ideal applicant will have:
1. Experience within the hire & sales industry.
2. 3+ years' experience within a management or supervisory role.
3. Experience within the construction industry, ideally temporary works such as falsework/formwork or wider construction accessories.
4. Commercial awareness when dealing with problems.
5. Tenacity, professionalism, and high attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Highly organised, confident, and personable.
8. Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
