Job Title: Social Worker – Locality Team
Location: Wakefield
Rate: £35 per hour
An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Wakefield. This role is within a frontline child protection team, taking work from assessment, through CIN, CP, and court work.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will be responsible for identifying and clearly explaining the nature and level of risk to children and the impact this will have on them if nothing changes. You will understand the child’s lived experience through visits to the family, direct work, and observations. Additionally, you will create plans and ways of working with children and their families that achieve a tangible positive difference. Your caseload will include:
* Children in need
* Children in need of protection
* Children where a PLO/pre-proceedings process is ongoing
* Children subject to public and private law proceedings
* Looked after children prior to transfer to the children in care service
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, and hold a full UK driving licence. Additionally, you should have a Social Work qualification, degree or equivalent, and at least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
