Job Title: Electrical Estimator Location: Kent Salary: Up to £65k Overview: My client is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their team in Kent. The successful candidate will lead an electrical estimating team, manage multiple tenders, liaise with clients, and ensure all tender submissions are accurate and qualified. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the electrical estimating team. Manage and track multiple electrical tenders simultaneously. Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their requirements are met. Review specifications, drawings, and tender updates. Conduct site surveys and liaise with clients on-site. Analyze and evaluate project risks, both commercially and logistically. Prepare detailed pricing estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Scrutinize supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs. Attend tender meetings, site reviews, and post-tender interviews. Allocate team resources and oversee the tender process from start to finish. Maintain up-to-date estimating documentation and regularly review company rates. Conduct weekly team meetings and tender reporting. Provide comprehensive handover documentation for secured projects. Key Skills and Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical disciplines. Experience presenting tenders to clients. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Solid understanding of residential and commercial construction sectors. Ability to interpret tender specifications and drawings to produce detailed cost plans. Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Professional communication and client-facing abilities. Proven experience in a similar estimating role. Full UK driver's license.
