The Role The Finance Manager will work closely with the Head of Finance to assist in improving Financial reporting by implementing the newly combined groups finance policies, systems and procedures. They will also be responsible for the preparation of the management accounts for a number of business units and assisting in the Group and local Audit processes. This is an exciting new role which covers a broad range of finance areas working on management accounting, consolidation, audit, system design and implementation. Based primarily between our Watford and High Wycombe Office but will be required to travel between sites as necessary on an adhoc basis. Responsibilities Monthly management accounts preparation and Balance sheet reconciliations for a number of business units (Holding companies and small overseas businesses). Support the wider finance team to ensure monthly management accounts are produced accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to report to Group finance any variance in management accounts. Assist in the group and local audit and help prepare statutory accounts. Assist of budgeting, cash flow forecasts and various FP&A analysis for the above entities Accurate Intercompany transactions with other Group companies worldwide Assist in implementation of new finance systems. Assist in ESG reporting. Maintenance and improvement of fixed asset registers. Engage with commercial, finance and operational teams to improve accuracy and quality of data for reporting and forecasting. Manage corporate bond schedule. Assist in the monthly consolidation. Requirements Minimum of 2-3 years experience in accounts preparation Ideally part qualified or studying towards a financially recognised qualification Good communicator that can work with non-financial managers. Good understanding of financial accounting and processes. Open, analytical, and detailed approach. Ability to work to pressured timetables. Ability to Build finance and non-finance relationships. Good excel skills. Previous experience of using Sage 300, Business central and Insphire would be helpful. Ability to work on their own initiative. Experience of multicurrency and multinational companies.
