DevOps Engineer Location: West Yorkshire Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office Salary: £45,000 - £56,500 benefits Working with a leading e-commerce company we are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to optimise software deployment and enhance the performance of high-traffic websites and apps. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve release cycles. Monitor and optimise website performance, ensuring high availability and fast load times. Implement and manage caching solutions (e.g., Squid Cache) to reduce latency. Enhance system observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (Elastic Search, Kibana, New Relic, etc.). Collaborate with architects, engineers, and QA teams to improve DevOps practices within an Agile framework. Ensure security compliance with UK regulations (UK-GDPR, PCI-DSS) and OWASP best practices. Support disaster recovery planning and backup strategies. What We’re Looking For: Considerable experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering for high-traffic systems. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and performance monitoring (New Relic, Lighthouse). Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash). Familiarity with networking, security best practices, and caching technologies. Agile development experience with a focus on secure coding principles. Desirable: Experience in B2C E-Commerce environments. Knowledge of C#, Java, .NET, and relational/document-oriented databases. API development experience (SOAP, RESTful, LDAP).
