Randstad CPE are working with a FM provider and we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager (Electrical bias) to join their team in the Glasgow area.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide formal supervision to employees.
2. Monitor the training and development of staff.
3. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
4. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
5. Schedule and manage the team's daily activities.
6. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines.
7. Mentor and coach as needed.
8. Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
9. Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
10. Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
11. Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
12. Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
Qualifications
1. Recognised Trade apprenticeship or level 3 NVQ in a trade.
2. Full Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology or equivalent.
3. Has been an SAP in one of the following disciplines:
* High Voltage
* Confined Spaces
* Pressure Systems
1. Good customer relationship building skills.
2. Conversant with Microsoft Office.
3. Must be able to attend site in the event of emergency and provide guidance to staff in the event of emergencies.
4. Availability to attend site at weekends for planned building shutdowns.
Preferred
1. ILM 3 certificate or above.
2. Proven team leadership skills.
3. IOSH/Nebosh qualification.
4. Have previously been appointed as an Authorising Engineer.
