Peaple Talent has partnered with a leading provider of energy solutions who are looking to recruit a Head of Sales. You will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales team in driving customer-centric sales strategies for bespoke energy solutions, including Solar PV, HVAC, Heat Pumps, CHP Systems, and Water Services. As the Head of Sales, you will ensure the achievement of sales targets, develop the sales team, and foster strong relationships with clients to secure profitable business growth while meeting customers’ bespoke requirements. Our client prides itself on providing tailored solutions that competitors won’t do, ensuring each client’s unique needs are met with precision and excellence.
Please note that within this role there will be regular visits to both clients site along with the UK head office visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on excellence and surpassing customer requirements.
• Identify training and development needs within the team and implement appropriate programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Customer-Focused Sales Strategy:
• Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies tailored to client specifications and market demands.
• Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional customer service and builds strong, long[1]lasting relationships with clients.
• Review and approve sales proposals and contracts, ensuring they align with customer expectations and company standards.
Product Knowledge and Expertise:
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the range of energy solutions, including Solar PV, HVAC, Heat Pumps, CHP Systems, and Water Services, to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Highlight unique ability to provide bespoke solutions that competitors won’t do, ensuring each client’s specific needs are met.
Negotiation and Relationship Building:
• Lead high-stakes negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Attend client meetings to discuss and clarify project requirements and deliverables. Sales Performance and Reporting:
• Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Implement and maintain best practices in sales processes and customer relationship management.
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the sales function.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in energy solutions and water management services.
• Maintain and update the sales database and customer relationship management systems.
Essential Technical Requirements:
• Extensive experience in a product and services sales sector.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Experience in the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors is preferred.
