This position is responsible for overseeing and facilitating system changes to Husky’s technology services. The successful candidate is a highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of multi-tasking with a high level of personal and professional ethics.
The IT Change Management Specialist will play a key role in coordinating and facilitating approvals for all changes being made to the IT services, in order to minimize the number and impact of any related incidents upon services. This role oversees the day-to-day operation and execution of the Change Management process, including management and appropriate allocation of the resources supporting the process (e.g., people, tools, technology).
The role is also responsible for the quality of the delivery of the activities that support a reliable technology environment at Husky by leveraging Advisory Boards for change management and confirming compliance to the process for all change related activities.
Candidates for this role will have best practices knowledge around change management discipline as it relates to ITIL V3 and V4.

Responsibilities:
Core Focus
* Ensures and promotes the correct use of the Change Management process, policies, and procedures.
* Monitors the day-to-day activities related to the process to ensure smooth execution.
* Facilitate regular scheduled meetings of the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
* Manage Emergency CAB (ECAB) process for changes requiring approval outside the standard process and facilitate special ECAB Meetings as warranted.
* Improve the Change Management process as opportunities are identified.
* Extend the scope of use of the Change Management process as systems requiring this process are identified.
* Additionally, as a member of the Security and Compliance team, the responsibilities include participating in compliance-related initiatives, as assigned, and providing backup support to others on the team.
Change Management
* Review all implemented Changes to ensure that they have met their objectives. Refer back any that have been backed out or have failed.
* Review all outstanding Change Requests (CRs) awaiting consideration or awaiting action.
* Analyze Change records to determine any trends or apparent problems that occur. Seek rectification with relevant parties.
* Receive, Log, and allocate a priority to all CRs, in collaboration with the initiator.
* Ensure that standardized methods and techniques are used for the preparation, building, testing, and implementation of changes to meet Service Levels and prevent change-related incidents.
* Reviews and confirms the risk classification determination for CRs.
* Supports the activities leading to the closure of the Change.
* Table all CRs that require CAB review for a CAB meeting, issue an agenda, and circulate all CRs to CAB members.
* Coordinate impact assessment, planning, and authorization of CRs in cooperation with members of the CAB and ECAB.
* Chair all CAB and ECAB meetings.
* Ownership for commitments to meet scheduled change window.
* Ensures that the Change Management Key Performance Indicators are met.
* Conducts a Post Implementation Review with the CAB upon the completion of a CR labelled as Significant, Failed, Successful-With Issues, or a CR which was implemented out of compliance.
* Provide regular and accurate management reports.
* Capture and report process metrics.
* Manage the collection of Change information and process documentation review for the semi-annual Internal/External Audit cycles.
* Ensure ongoing alignment with IT General Controls and SOX compliance practices in coordination with the IT Security/Compliance Team.
* Perform Completeness Checks of the Change Management Process on a Monthly basis ensuring the ongoing integrity of the process.
* Facilitates Change Management process training as required.
* Manages system outage communications to the business.
* Ensures segregation of duties within the change management process (i.e., segregation between developer and implementer).
* Ensures Change Management process documentation is reviewed on an annual basis and updated as required.
* Manages daily/weekly Change Management communications (i.e., Daily change calendar).
* Maintains K2 and SharePoint lists as part of the Change Management administrative functions.
