Position: Conveyancing Fee Earner – Bristol
Reports to: Head of Conveyancing
Days of Work: Mon – Fri
Hours of Work: 09:00 – 17:30
Location: Bristol
Acts on behalf of and gives legal advice to private and commercial clients under the supervision of the Head of Conveyancing. Progressing files by performing a variety of duties, including drafting legal correspondence, answering phones, greeting visitors, and communicating with solicitors and clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build strong relationships with clients.
2. Attend conferences with clients.
3. Carry out file reviews and Risk Assessments.
4. Efficiently and proactively communicate with clients, buyer and seller Solicitors, Estate Agents, Financial Advisors, and HM Land Registry.
5. Progress transactions promptly.

Qualifications & Training
1. Law Degree
Experience
1. Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment.

1. Communication skills: You will be working with a wide range of people, from barristers and solicitors to their clients, so the ability to communicate well and in a professional manner is essential.
2. Written communication skills: excellent spelling and grammar. A high level of written English.
3. Attention to detail: high level of accuracy when preparing legal documents or filling out forms and statements.
4. Teamwork: able to work with clients, lawyers, and other legal secretaries.
5. Strong sense of discretion.
6. Courteous and professional demeanour.
7. Demonstrate that they can cope well under pressure.
8. Ability to work towards a monthly target.
Knowledge
1. MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, Dictaphone, etc.)
2. Legal terminology, regulations, and court system, although full training will be given.
