Salary: £83.85 per day
About the Role: Teaching Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Officer to join a specialist SEN school in Newport. This role focuses on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to enhance their learning and development.
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Promote positive behavior and engagement in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Foster strong relationships with students, helping them to build confidence and social skills.
- Monitor student progress and report any concerns to the teaching team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Autism or additional needs, is preferred.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with children with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
