SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Lasting Impact!
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (Equivalent to £19,370.70 - £21,122.66, based on experience) ...
Hours: 37 hours per week - Term Time Only

We're looking for motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting Learning & Growth: Work closely with a professional team to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
2. Individualised Support: Provide tailored, one-on-one, or small group assistance to students with sensory and communication needs.
3. Build Positive Relationships: Develop strong, trusting connections with students, fostering a welcoming and safe learning space.
4. Behavioural Support: Use creative techniques to encourage positive behaviour, adapting your approach to fit individual needs.
5. Assist with Personal Care: Support students with personal care when necessary, always maintaining dignity and respect.
What We're Looking For:
6. Experience working with SEN students (voluntary or paid).
7. A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not required).
8. Essential GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or higher).
9. Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
10. A flexible, creative mindset to meet the unique needs of each student.
