We are a proud member of the Intact family, we feel part of something bigger, with a presence in North America, the UK and Europe.
We have a bold ambition to become the best Commercial Lines business in the UK, demonstrated by our recent acquisition of NIG and Farmweb, allowing us to scale by leveraging our combined financial strength and importantly ensure our people feel the benefits of our joint capabilities.
As someone who is already part of the team you know we support you to shape the future, win as a team and grow with us, and we are delighted you have decided to continue your career journey with RSA.
We have an opportunity for a Financial Control Accountant to join our team on a hybrid basis for a 6 months fixed term contract.
Your role
As our Financial Control Accountant, you will be operating within a demanding and changing statutory and regulatory environment. This role is key to the UK Financial Control team, supporting compliance with relevant RSA and IFC Group policies and underpinning the Canadian NI52-109 regulatory standard for internal financial controls. Your work must therefore be undertaken with a high degree of professional excellence, diligence, and tenacity.
You will work closely with the Financial Control Business Partners, providing support and driving improvements within the financial control environment of the UK business. You will spend your time undertaking controls design and operating effectiveness testing, as well as supporting the business through any required remediation activity to ensure an effective financial control environment.
As part of the quarterly reporting cycle, you will support the UK&I Financial Control Team Leader in the collation of reporting MI. You will add value through your flexibility, understanding of how things work in RSA, and your pragmatic approach to testing and remediation.
About you
While experience in financial controls within the financial services environment is desirable, training will be provided. A thorough understanding of processes is essential, allowing for the identification and assessment of key financial reporting risks and the design of appropriate controls. As a self-starter, you will thrive under tight deadlines, effectively manage expectations across diverse stakeholder groups, and adhere to RSA protocols and procedures, including confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
Ideally, you will be part-qualified or have relevant experience in a similar role.
What we offer you
At RSA we put our people first. We have adopted hybrid working as standard, to give you a better work/life balance and an excellent flexible working mindset. That is on top of a comprehensive range of benefits, including pension contributions of up to 11% looking after you now, and in the future.
We'll give you countless opportunities to continuously develop, alongside a diverse and passionate community of experts - the best the industry has to offer. You'll be empowered to be your best self, do your best work, and make a meaningful impact. Our employee promise allows you to shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us.
