We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Huddersfield practice.
Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
You'll be working alongside vets, vet nurses, and our reception team, carrying out a wide range of tasks. We're looking for a team player who is willing to get stuck in, work hard, and is keen to learn. We'll provide support to get you going, and you'll quickly become an integral member of the team.
Your tasks will include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; managing stock; handling a variety of small animals; helping set up for operations; deep cleaning all areas; speaking to clients on the phone and in person. Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential. You will also need to have had previous experience in a veterinary environment.
This is a part time role working 20 - 30 hours per week which will be discussed at interview.
If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
