Are you passionate about health, safety, quality, and environmental management? As our Regional SHEQ Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of promoting safety excellence across the UK, providing professional guidance and innovative solutions to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices. This dynamic role requires flexibility, including weekend and night work, travel, and the occasional overnight stay, with opportunities to collaborate across various divisions.
What You’ll Do:
* Drive Safety Culture: Develop and implement health and safety best practices, ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a safe working environment for all.
* Proactive Engagement: Collaborate with management at all levels to establish safe systems of work and communicate effectively with operational staff.
* Audit & Compliance: Conduct thorough site audits and ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), along with maintaining relevant documentation.
* Data Management: Compile and analyse project data, upload information onto JSM’s electronic management system (AppCan), and keep site notice boards updated.
* Training & Development: Identify training needs, ensure staff are adequately trained, and recognize those who contribute positively to safety and quality improvements.
* Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, establish root causes, and implement preventative measures, ensuring timely reporting to management.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor health, safety, environment, and quality performance across contracts, and recommend improvements as necessary.
What You Bring:
* Experience: 3-5 years in a utility or civil-related SHEQ role, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and best practices.
* Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate or above (Level 6 desirable), EUSR or CSCS in a related subject, NRSWA (SWQR), and EUSR Gas or equivalent.
* Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, logical problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Technology Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office software, with a knack for data analysis and report compilation.
