Job Description Summary
Responsible for defining, developing and implementing a clear and comprehensive risk appetite that outlines risk tolerances and risk limits, defining guardrails and control objectives. You’ll be responsible for attending Continuous Product Management meetings and commercial meetings to make sure we are always putting the customer at the heart of our decisions. You will be accountable for owning the risk profile of our propositions escalating risks where needed and ensuring the correct visibility of issues at committee level meetings. Responsibility for cyclical product governance reviews, including supporting ad-hoc queries from our internal audit partners and the regulator. Provide regulatory input to support propositional shaping such as hierarchy of needs to support the right actions for customers. Change Oversight of material/significant projects and associated execution/delivery risks. Rectification/Remediation oversight – ensuring timely action taken to address control weaknesses and customer detriment. Staying abreast of external environment and regulatory developments to ensure our propositions remain compliant. Continuously monitoring the risk landscape for changes to existing risks and identification of new, emerging risks.

About this opportunity
We’re on an exciting journey in Mass Affluent with the introduction and optimisation of digital tools and propositions to help customers take financial action. As such, we are seeking a Propositions Governance Manager who will own our end-to-end accountability for managing the risks working in partnership with our controls office to ensure we deliver great customer outcomes. We’re looking for candidates who are innovative and transformational who will not only look at the controls and risk landscape but who will thrive on pushing the boundaries to be customer not risk led to better meet customers’ needs compliantly.
The perfect candidate will have an analytical and risk background with experience in regulation such as consumer duty and the ability to conduct customer fair value and HARMS assessments for new propositions. You’ll sit within the propositions team helping to shape the customer experience and provide appropriate guard rails to deliver the right outcomes.
The role will also require collaboration with our Group Sourcing team as we scope third party solutions to test and learn new concepts and ideas.
