Effectively support the management team in the day to day running of the department, including leading and managing the team, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety compliance. Deputise for the Trust Catering Manager in their absence and as appropriate and provide cover when required. Manage all HR Processes within own team. Take the lead with the recruitment and selection processes within the department, liaising with the Quality Assurance Manager regarding induction and initial training. Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and organisation. Communicate all relevant information within the team and wider organisation as required. As part of the management team assist with the organisation of Catering in relation to the trusts retail offering. This will include organising staffing, ordering food, transportation and communication between kitchen and retail staff to ensure an efficient, effective service.
