Job summary This is a newly created role at University Hospitals Dorset to lead a small team supporting Radiology patients who require day case admission. This role is based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital site and will require the candidate to prescribe pre-assessment medication guided by policies and procedures. Also required as part of this the ability to clinically examine and assess patients initiating any appropriate action for a distinct caseload of patients. This is a fixed term position for 12 months. To work autonomously, using enhanced clinical knowledge and skills, underpinned by theory and experience, to holistically assess patients (including completing pre-assessments) with often complex conditions, using a range of methods across the specialist service. To plan and manage care of patients within current level of practice, working in partnership with others, delegating and referring as appropriate, to optimise health outcomes and resource use, as well as providing direct support to patients and carers. To propose and implement service and policy development and redesign, impacting beyond own area and other disciplines, informed by current best practice and evidence-base, in accordance with values-based care of the trust.
