Job Description A well-established (30 years) leading materials handling Company based in the York area are looking for a Service Planner/Coordinator, to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business in a permanent role working Monday to Friday and offering a competitive salary The successful Service Planner will be responsible for: Planning routes for Engineers on a daily basis Coordinating with Engineers to schedule delivery and plan jobs and routes Handling calls from customers to support with any queries Tracking jobs and logging updates accurately Maintain communication with customers about engineer availability, job status and any changes to schedules Providing outstanding customer service to be the link between the customers & the engineers The successful Service Planner will have some previous relevant experience from working in a similar role, ideally from within a similar industry or from an automotive/retail background. You must be highly customer focused and have excellent planning and organisational skills. You should also have strong IT skills, in particular MS Excel and strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. I would also be interested in hearing from you if you are an experienced Hire Controller or have worked as a Transport Coordinator within the materials handling, construction or equipment rental sectors. This Service Planner role offers an attractive salary up to £35,000 (DOE) plus mobile phone. This is a full-time role working Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm and the business is commutable from York, Malton, Pockington and surrounding areas.
