Overall Purpose
As the Water Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our Water Team, working in conjunction with the Consultancy Manager to develop Wildscapes and the service offering.
We require an experienced and dynamic individual to deliver a range of water-based contracts from our existing District Level Licensing pond creation project with Natural England, through to new SUDs schemes, Natural Flood Management, and other relevant projects.
As our Water Contracts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with and grow a team of professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions for water management in various urban and rural settings.
As part of this role, you may also be required to work in collaboration with and support our Land Management Team to facilitate delivery of a range of other habitat management and contracting work.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished contracts manager with strong business acumen and experience in estimating/preparing bids for commercial clients and tenders. Direct experience of drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) is preferred, as well as competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling.
Where no direct experience of design is available, the candidate should have strong experience of working in aquatic environments such as rivers and lakes, and have significant experience in civil engineering and construction, including working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
The role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and an ability to work effectively with all stakeholders, including developers, government agencies, contractors, community groups, and landowners.
The Water Team Contracts Manager will be responsible for the performance of this business unit and will work to develop opportunities and grow this area of the organisation.
