Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and processing laboratory specimens under the guidance of Biomedical Scientists. Your duties will include data entry, electronically requesting and receiving tests, and addressing minor issues with mislabelled or misplaced samples. You will also prepare samples for analysis, adhere to technical procedures, and uphold high standards of test performance. General laboratory tasks such as cleaning instruments, recording temperatures, and preparing reagents will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, you will assist in training staff, rotate through various departmental sections, and manage the sterilisation and disposal of laboratory waste. Qualifications and Experience • GCSEs or equivalent in science subjects • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills • Preferred experience in a clinical laboratory setting • Ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Flexibility to work in various lab sections • Detail-oriented and methodical approach • Team player with the ability to work independently • Physically fit for standing and lifting tasks Why work with Pulse?
