Context of the role The SVP Sales UK & Europe is ultimately responsible for driving revenue across the region while partnering with cross-functional teams globally. Taking a hands-on approach, you will expand our customer base by defining, developing, and delivering on short- and long-term commercial strategies. You will be responsible for leading and increasing profitable growth and exceeding targets from new and existing accounts in the region. Key responsibilities Creating and executing the overall sales and business development plan for the Europe region Developing and managing strategic partnerships with banks and non-bank financial institutions to facilitate the movement of funds in and out the region Hands-on management of the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts and working closely with C suites within banks and FI’s to close deals Developing sales strategies using your local market expertise to maximize go-to-market resources and execute against relevant opportunities Building and mentoring a lean, high performing business development team (you will be managing this team, leading from the front in execution of new partnerships) Ensuring excellent communication and internal coordination to roll out new services, taking into account market specificity (regulation, competition etc.) Managing existing accounts to maximize revenue through cross and upselling opportunities and maximizing customer satisfaction Working closely with the internal management team delivering on business needs. This will also include working closely in collaboration with other internal functions such as compliance, product, legal, technology as well as the network team Contribute to product roadmap conversations to ensure the local value proposition is strong, relevant so we are able to service the local market well What we are looking for 10 years of experience driving revenue from new business in a B2B environment Extensive experience in commercial strategy development and direct execution as well as managing/delivering through high performing sales teams Well connected to Banks and Cross Border Payment Providers at a C-level Extensive experience of negotiations with C-level executives In depth knowledge of the payments industry Must possess a can-do, entrepreneurial drive, focusing on solving problems creatively with a high level of energy. This is critical both as a cultural fit and based on the nature of internal business growth plans Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, complex and geographically diverse company Strong academic background, such as a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent.
