Senior Cost Manager
£60,000- £65,000 per annum + benefits
Location: Glasgow (preferred) or Edinburgh office
Hybrid 3 days site/office, 2 days home working
Main Duties
Lead on projects from a Cost Management perspective from inception to completion
NEC 3/4 contract administration
Production of cost estimates, cost plans, procurement and tendering advice, through to post-contract delivery of valuations, change control, reporting and final account
Provide effective support, mentoring and line management to Project Surveyors, Graduates and Apprentices
Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client's satisfaction
Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the project team.
Key
Ideally chartered MRICS
Proven experience in Cost Management gained within a construction consultancy setting, or client side
Refurbishment and new build project experience within Education (Higher or University) and Healthcare (capital works)
Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
NEC3 or NEC4 accredited, working with NEC Project Manager
Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc - in Quantity Surveying/ Cost Management
Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender documentation tools
BPSS clearance may be needed
