What You Will Be Doing: As our Demand Planner, reporting to the Channel Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating accurate demand forecasts and optimising inventory management to support Phoenix 2 Retail’s business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration, and a proactive approach to aligning forecasts with business needs, ensuring product availability and operational efficiency. Duties & Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Planning Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analysing historical sales data and market trends. Collaborate with Sales, Trading, and Operations teams to align demand forecasts with business strategies. Translate monthly Account Manager sales forecasts into SKU-level forecasts using Salesforce/PowerBI. Inventory Management & Optimisation Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock. Work closely with the Trading and Supply Chain teams to adjust inventory strategies based on real-time data. Data Analysis & Reporting Own and maintain forecasting systems, including the creation and implementation of dashboards in Salesforce/PowerBI. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved accuracy. Present forecasting insights and reports during monthly reviews with senior stakeholders such as the CFO and CRO. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the central point of contact between Operations, Trading, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure forecast alignment. Provide training and support to Account Managers on forecasting tools and best practices. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify and implement opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, tools, and systems. Develop and share best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency. Person Specification: Minimum of 3 years in a forecasting or demand planning role, ideally in FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment. Strong numerical, data visualisation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, PowerBI, and ERP systems. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities. Confident communicator with the ability to present insights to diverse audiences. Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
