About the Curriculum Manager (Lifestyles) role: Lifestyles is seeking maternity cover for a leader who will directly oversee Early Years, Health and Social Care, Travel and Tourism, and the English and Maths teachers. They will also have overall responsibility for the Lifestyles faculty’s performance in Reading, working alongside the Curriculum Lead, who currently oversees Beauty, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Media Makeup, Protective Services, and Sport. With over 3,000 students across 13 delivery locations, spanning ages 14-16, 16-18, adult full and part-time courses, apprenticeships, and HE programs—including Animal Management, Beauty, Care, Early Years, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Media Makeup, Protective Services, Sport, and Travel and Tourism—it is essential to highlight the role of Lifestyles in this diverse educational landscape. The ideal candidate will provide stability and continue the leadership team’s excellent work in delivering extraordinary experiences for students and staff. This is a full-time, fixed-term role covering maternity leave, expected to last until April 2026. What do you need to be a successful Curriculum Manager (Lifestyles) at Activate Learning? As the curriculum manager, you will: Have proven leadership experience achieved at a Faculty Management level, together with a thorough understanding of what makes for excellent evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment and how to monitor it effectively. Have a proven track record of driving up standards and outcomes for learners and together with a teaching qualification, will possess highly developed practitioner skills that demonstrate leading-edge practice in the delivery of teaching and learning. Demonstrate an inspiring and authentic leadership style, with excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
