PHNP Induction Programme:
* 3-week face-to-face induction (8.30am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri)
* 2-week on-the-job training with professional guidance (75 hours in total, round-the-clock shifts)
* An additional 3 weeks of face-to-face induction.
* Another 2 weeks of guided placement.
* 8-week integration period, inclusive of Driver Training.
* Achieve Module 5 competency while leading as a clinician (under supervision).
While part-time roles are available, full-time commitment is required throughout the induction phase.
Main duties of the job
Following an initial transition with our education teams, the Clinical Practitioners will support delivery of our frontline service working alongside Paramedics and other pre-hospital clinicians. Key responsibilities include:
* Assess, treat, diagnose, supply and administer medicines, manage, discharge, and refer patients in urgent, emergency, critical, or out-of-hospital settings.
* Provide clinical leadership, development, and mentorship to operational personnel, including newly qualified paramedics and students.
* Contribute to integrated approaches to out-of-hours care involving relevant stakeholders.
* Operate in diverse environments, managing conditions from birth to end of life, chronic to critical illnesses or injuries.

Qualifications
* Nurse registered with Nursing & Midwifery Council
* Full UK manual driving licence for 12 months (up to 3 points considered)
* C1 category licence to be obtained within 6 months
* Mentorship qualification or willingness to obtain within 12 months
* Pediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
* IT literacy skills
* Ability to complete high-standard clinical records
* Leadership in emergency situations
* Experience with diverse patient populations
* Post-registration experience in acute or emergency settings or relevant pre-hospital voluntary experience
* Autonomous clinical decision-making experience
* Performing invasive procedures such as IM injections and IV cannulation
* Making complex patient care decisions/treatment plans
Must hold a full UK manual driving licence with at least 1 year of driving experience (maximum 3 penalty points).
