The aim of the postholders is to contribute to the reduction of sickness absence by ensuring delivery of a comprehensive advisory and support service in relation to Attendance Management, in line with the NHS Scotland Workforce Attendance Management Policy. Working alongside managers, occupational health and staff side you will engage with staff to implement both informal and formal support mechanisms, identify absence ‘hotspots’, scrutinise and provide absence data analysis and provide training. Knowledge of other key NHS Scotland Policies and NHS Scotland Terms and Conditions of service is also essential to the role. This is a fast paced role requiring excellent time management, unique and individual problem solving and compassion, in ensuring the health and wellbeing support for all our staff is individual to their needs from entering to leaving the organisation. To apply for either of these roles you should be educated to degree level in a relevant field and have a post graduate professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) or demonstrable equivalent experience. You will be able to evidence excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills as well as experience of successfully managing complex employee relations matters.
