We are looking for a full-time Registered Qualified Dental Nurse to work in this very fast-growing state-of-the-art dental practice. To work Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, Saturdays 8:30am - 1:30pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Keep clinical areas, equipment, and instruments clean, tidy, and sterile in accordance with HTMO-105.
2. Provide chair-side assistance ensuring correct materials and instruments are available.
3. Ensure all machinery is managed correctly following manufacturers' instructions and regular checks are completed.
4. Set up surgery for the day and close surgery ensuring all cleaning has been completed following our daily checklists.
5. Have knowledge and comply with health and safety rules including PPE, COSHH, infection prevention, waste disposal, mercury handling, and spillages.
6. Disinfect laboratory work and keep a log of sent and received lab work.
7. Ensure surgeries are stocked with materials and instruments accordingly and maintain accurate patient records.
8. Consult with reception, manage appointments and records, assist with administrative tasks when needed, and greet and assist patients in a friendly professional manner.
9. Follow and implement clinical policies and procedures to comply with legislation, treating patients and colleagues with dignity and respect.
10. Maintain professional behavior and appearance.
Job Specification:
* GDC registered
* Indemnity
* GCSE level or equivalent in math and English
* Level 3 Diploma Dental Nurse
* DBS check
* Familiarity with the role in dental settings and terminology
* Knowledge in infection control, first aid, data protection, and information governance
* Basic computer skills
