The successful candidate will provide support to the Trailers and Fencing teams and will handle customer enquiries both in person in the store and also on the telephone; process sales; replenish stock and help with the general upkeep of the showroom and external areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with customers.
* Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
* Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.
* Provide support for other trade counters as required.
* Assist with showroom security.
* Display product ranges and equipment.
* Where applicable, arrange PDI (pre-delivery inspection) for equipment sold.
* Work on electronic point of sale system.
* Price customer orders and advise the customer of goods availability. Allocate those ordered goods which are stocked, and assist, when necessary, the ordering of goods direct from relevant suppliers.
* Replenish showroom shelves, create daily picklists and retain high shop-keeping standards.
* *May be required to carry out additional tasks which are appropriate to the post.
Skills & Experience
* Experience working in a Showroom/Store environment and direct customer sales experience preferred.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* The ability to negotiate with customers.
* Capable of working on their own and make successful decisions contributing to a sale.
* Flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
