Do you want to be at the forefront of transforming clinical pharmacy, working with a dynamic team? Would you like to develop your clinical skills across a range of specialities before deciding in which area to develop advanced practice?
Due to recent staff movement, we now have a vacancy in our specialist pharmacist rotation within the surgical rotation. This post would be ideal for someone looking to take that next step in their career and gain experience mainly within a hospital setting, with the opportunity for out-patient experience. Each part of the rotation would be 9 months and will initially include the following areas:
1. General Surgery
2. Cancer and Aseptic Services
3. Orthopaedic Surgery
4. Rheumatology
This programme is based in Kirkcaldy, at the Victoria Hospital.
You will be working as a team of specialist pharmacists, supported by pharmacy technicians, foundation pharmacists, and senior clinical pharmacists, under the leadership of our Lead Clinical Pharmacists. You will be supported to complete a relevant postgraduate framework and train as an independent prescriber.
Applications are welcomed from pharmacists who are passionate about patient care and are keen to develop their clinical experience across a range of settings. Previous hospital experience is not essential as training and support will be given.
