A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team working in the Cardiac Catheter labs providing care and support for patients with acute cardiac disorders based within the Cardiology Department.
There are currently 3 Cardiac Catheter labs and 1 procedure room. A few of the services provided include diagnostic coronary angiography & coronary intervention services (including primary angioplasty for patients suffering ST Elevation myocardial infarction), electrophysiology & ablation service that aims to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias, implantable devices (complex and simple pacemakers and internal defibrillators). We provide 24/7 care to our patients to ensure that any patient that requires percutaneous coronary intervention is able to undergo this treatment as per NICE guidelines.

The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing care and support for patients with acute cardiac disorders based within the Cardiology Department incorporating the Cardiac Catheter Lab and will be required to undertake competencies to enable them to work in all areas of Cardiology.
The post holder will be responsible for a group of patients undergoing cardiac procedures, adhering to the agreed standards of care ensuring the patients' safety and wellbeing.
As part of the team, the successful applicant will be responsible for working with the flow and day case unit co-ordinator to plan, agree and deliver care for outpatients, inpatients and emergencies so that patients flow through the department in a safe and timely manner.
Working Pattern: Day shifts, including weekend working and a 24-hour on-call rota.
