This pivotal role will provide leadership and strategic direction on all commercial aspects, with a keen focus on controlling financial assets to ensure the maximisation of shareholder value. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our business by identifying and executing key growth and profitability enhancement strategies while managing commercial risk. Job Description: Major Job Functions As a member of the Senior Finance Leadership Team, drive and support the establishment of appropriate short—and long-term strategies to compete effectively in the current and future markets. Regularly identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the agreed strategy and govern accordingly. Delivery of the overall financial performance of the business including the achievement of revenue, profit and expense budgets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Meet financial reporting responsibilities, ensuring results, budgets, and forecasts are robust, appropriate and auditable. Responsible for ensuring that all major contracts are commercially reviewed and approved prior to signing. Develop strong influencing relationships with major suppliers (particularly Caterpillar) and customers to ensure maximisation of the commercial impact of relationships. Key negotiator for dispute resolution and commercial considerations. Provide governance and support to sales and operational development plans/teams/projects, ensuring actions are in place to deliver growth whilst robustly managing gross margin and cost control. Lead the development of alternative commercially viable propositions to stimulate profitable growth, drive operational efficiencies, effectively manage assets and increase annual Free Cash Flow.
