Therole involves working autonomously and as part of our multi-disciplinary teamacross sexual health services in the London Borough of Kingston. YHC CASH service providescontraception and sexual health care to residents in SW London and Surrey, weare looking for applicants who are driven, efficient and able to work at a fastpace whilst maintaining amazing customer service and professionalism. Ourservice is well respected and trusted by our patients and we are keen to workwith Nurses who share our commitment to the care we provide.
Main duties of the job
Ideally thecandidate will be LARC trained or be prepared to undertake and complete thetraining within 12 months

1. Job Purpose
2. To work as an autonomous Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner within the Contraception and Sexual Health Services.
3. To provide holistic assessment and provision of a full range of Contraception and Sexual Health care.
4. To promote positive sexual health.
5. To act as a resource for nurse education and clinical development.
6. To provide nurse led clinics where appropriate to support the clinical team.
7. To support the maintenance of a cohesive multi-disciplinary team.
8. To participate in activities within the team to promote service improvement.

Your Healthcare CIC (YHC) Contraception and Sexual and Reproductive Health Services provides high quality, non-judgmental, comprehensive, free, open access sexual health service to adults and young people. The post is part of a small skill-mix team which contributes to the provision of an effective community CASH service. The post-holder will support the Lead Nurse in the provision of an effective and safe service for the assessment, treatment and education of the clients requiring sexual health provision. The nursing care will be evidence based and take into consideration the age, lifestyle, gender, sexual orientation and cultural background of the client group. The post holder will report to the lead nurse for the department and contribute to the professional development of the clinical team as directed by the line manager.

Professional/Clinical
To be accountable for his/her own practice and use available opportunities to sustain and improve knowledge and professional competence To obtain a detailed and comprehensive patient history and undertakerelevant examination and investigations for an undiagnosed patient group. To develop and implement a management plan for each patient referring as necessary internally and externally to the appropriate department as required To request and interpret tests as required within departmental guidelines To provide intermediate level, autonomous nursing care to patients with sexual health and contraceptive needs including the diagnosis and treatment of STIs and related conditions. To supply and administer medicines in accordance with Patient Groupdirections or as an Independent Prescriber if appropriate To monitor the effectiveness of care and treatment through follow up asrequired (including partner notification) according to departmental guidelines Encourage participation in the cervical cytology screening program. To carry out cervical screening if appropriately trained and competent to do so and ensure samples are processed correctly. To maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with NMC, Trust and medico-legal requirements. To ensure that these standards are met and maintained within the nursing team To act as a patient advocate when appropriate, ensuring respect for patientconfidentiality, privacy and cultural/ethnic background. To ensure that thesestandards are met and maintained within the nursing team In conjunction with the Lead Nurse to support and participate in the development of nurse led services. To be a credible and approachable role model for junior staff and students providing clinical support and guidance as required
