Here at New Malden, we have recently undergone an exciting refurb and expansion of our practice and are thrilled to announce we have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our incredible team on a part-time basis!
Our Partner, Michelle Akande, qualified in 1999 from Bristol, is an experienced general practitioner with no specialties/specific areas of interest; however, client care is particularly important to her. She is happy to support and encourage additional certificates within her team.
You will also be joining a friendly, supportive team of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 Practice Manager (who is also an additional RVN), 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 6 Receptionists. We have a variety of interests within the team including exotic animal medicine.
We are looking for an experienced and self-sufficient vet who is confident with all routine consults and surgeries. Needs to be comfortable with sole charge as well. You will be required to support and mentor 2 new graduates who joined the practice in September. We offer a generous CPD budget and are enthusiastic about supporting individual professional interests. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet to carve out a niche in their chosen field, whether that’s medicine, surgery, or another specialty area.
The role is part-time, and we can be flexible on hours to ensure the best work-life balance! Some weekend work may be required.
Everything is up for negotiation for the right candidate, so please do get in contact with us for a chat if you are interested! There are no OOH and only occasional sole charge responsibility ensuring a healthy work/life balance.
In return for your hard work, we offer:
* Maximum salary £50,000 dependent on experience and total hours.
* Contributory pension scheme.
* Generous CPD and funding of certificates for the right candidate.
* Supportive and friendly team environment.
* Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS).
* Exclusive company discounts and rewards including with High Street retailers and restaurants.
