TECHNICAL ENGINEER (OR GRADUATE ENGINEER)
The role of this engineer is to ensure all data relating to various projects is correct, disseminated to the correct stakeholders, manage parts orders for the programme, and ensure that the parts are delivered on time to the correct area in readiness for project execution and completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake the creation of the Bill of Materials (BoM) by interrogating CAD data for the planned customer vehicle specification.
2. Able to manage a diverse workload comprising many multiple requests/projects.
3. Create and release drawing files from CAD that supports the Engineering Releases and the part procurement processes.
4. Maintain own database (Excel) against continuously changing requirements to avoid BOM errors in the logistics process.
5. Problem resolution of data issues ensuring a correct and clean data flow.
6. Ensure all projects comply with the latest requirements for weight, liaising with the relevant Regulation and homologation departments, leading the resolution of conflict between cross-divisional process partners.
Qualifications:
1. Experience of Automotive Product Change Management processes.
2. Considerable experience of Automotive Manufacturing processes and sequences, preferably low and high-volume facilities.
3. Extensive knowledge of Logistics SAP and BOM creation systems and an understanding of Lead Time targets and Stock Strategy.
4. Good interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a professional multi-skilled team to deliver defined, often tight, bespoke business targets.
