THE ROLE
AllSaints are looking for a Junior Product Developer to join our team who must be agile, organised, and able to respond to varied tasks.
You will be working within the design department (on the Product Development team), which is the epicentre of our DNA and influences every part of our brand. We play a key role in setting the tone and direction of the brand visually, commercially and ensure that our customers receive the product they desire. You will report to the Senior Product Developer on the Softs team.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
* Support the PD Team with a variety of organisation oriented tasks. This will mostly be within the soft wovens team, but will also at times extend to other members of PD and/or design team.
* Work with the designers to send out 'fabric wish lists' at the start of each season enabling design to source/select relevant and sustainable fabric bases according to ESG targets, supporting Allsaint's sustainable vision.
* Assist with tracking and receiving sampling fabric, trims and samples prior to the specific meetings so that all the relevant samples are able to be presented correctly.
* Log and distribute samples to the relevant departments.
* Organisation and filing. Ensuring that work spaces are kept tidy and organised and that fabrics/ samples are filed in systems that make them accessible and easy to locate.
* Managing & liaising daily with suppliers across the Far East & India to ensure all style information from fabrics through to cost are updated daily in shared working documents, enabling accurate information to be declared on a regular basis within the business.
* Online organisation of sample management so that style information is meticulously updated and uploaded into a central (PIM) system ensuring all departments within the company have available and up to date information.
* Assist with the co-ordination of bulk approvals and support Senior Product Developer where needed.
* Keeping up to date with emails and taking detailed notes in a variety of meetings throughout the development process.
* Occasional collecting of post for the team and sending out swatches/ samples etc in a timely manner assisting in the development process.
* Must work well across teams - supporting many aspects of the day to day running of PD & design teams and being ready to help out where needed.
* Engage with the technical team to track and understand the fit-related issues that impact the critical path. Participate in fit meetings with the tech team where CP allows.
* Work with buying teams to help manage OTB with senior PD, in season add ins/ exclusive partnerships and wholesale additions where required.
* Preparing, logging samples and strike offs for reviews and events. Ensure the showroom is kept organised and updated as samples arrive.
* Action sampling and counter sampling with existing supplier base in order to achieve the best sustainable product, with the best margin and shortest lead time.
* Supporting events/ shows/ reviews and photo shoots. This includes dressing models, organising and transporting samples etc.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
* Preferably a minimum of one year experience on a Product Development team.
* Great organisational and time management skills.
* Have a structured way of working and good at taking initiative.
* Be a good team player with great communication skills.
* Be curious to learn and have a growth mindset.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word etc.
