A position exists for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics to work on the geometric analysis aspects of special Lagrangians, Lagrangian mean curvature flows, and Hamiltonian stationary Lagrangian submanifolds, with Dr. Yang Li, funded by the Royal Society. Duties include conducting individual and collaborative research objectives, proposals and projects. The role holder will plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance if required. They will take an active role within the research group, including participation in and delivery of seminars and conferences.
The successful candidate will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics, and will have relevant experience in geometric analysis and geometric measure theory. If you are yet to obtain your PhD, you will be appointed as a Research Assistant in the first instance.
