You'll ensure compliance with BS 5839, BS 5266, and other relevant British Standards while delivering exceptional customer service.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nInstall, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839 standards\n\nConduct fault-finding and remedial works on addressable and conventional fire alarm panels\n\nPerform maintenance and testing of emergency lighting systems to BS 5266 requirements\n\nService and maintain Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs) and smoke control systems\n\nRespond to callouts within contractual SLAs and provide technical support\n\nComplete comprehensive fire safety logbooks and certification documentation\n\nManage van stock efficiently and maintain company equipment\n\nStay updated on the latest industry regulations and technological advancements\n\nTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE\n\nProven experience in maintaining fire alarm systems\n\nFamiliarity with major panel manufacturers (Gent, Advanced, Honeywell, C-TEC, etc.)\n\nKnowledge of emergency lighting and AOV maintenance procedures\n\nExperience with fire extinguisher servicing (preferred but not essential)\n\nUnderstanding of fire risk assessments and compartmentation principles\n\nExcellent communication skills for effective client interaction\n\nStrong organisational abilities and attention to detail\n\nFIA or BAFE qualifications (advantageous)\n\nVentro Ltd values diversity and promotes equality.
