The Lead Mechanical Engineer role offers an exciting technical challenge with an industry pioneer, working on a variety of pioneering EPC projects in the UK. As part of a dynamic and growing team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for energy transition projects critical to national infrastructure. The projects you will lead are valued between £10m and £70m and are central to meeting both national and international energy needs.
The Role:
1. Lead Mechanical Engineer for a major nuclear infrastructure project
2. Oversee and deliver mechanical designs within budget and schedule
3. Ensure effective execution of all mechanical and piping engineering aspects
4. Work across multidisciplinary teams to support the successful delivery of the project
5. Long-term contract opportunity
The Person:
1. Strong knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment in Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical industries
2. Experience with piping design codes: ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and BS EN 13480
3. Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Plant3D, E3D/PDMS, and Caesar II
4. More than 5 years of experience as a Lead/Senior Engineer within an EPCM/EPC environment
5. Ability to lead, interface with stakeholders, and ensure project success
