As mentioned in the last letter to Amazon Shareholders from our CEO Andy Jassy, Amazon Marketplace has been the engine of growth of Amazon for the past several years. We are looking for an intellectually curious, self-driven, innovative and highly motivated and ambitious leader to lead all Amazon Marketplace Pricing tools.
The Principal PM for Marketplace Pricing is responsible for the end-to-end product vision, product development planning, and management of product roadmap for a combination of the programs that drive our Seller Business, closely working with teams in Japan and WW.
This role is a highly strategic role with a big business impact that will require the leader in this role to innovate, drive adoption of our tools and ensure we make substantial contributions to the growth of our business.
The ideal candidate operates with total autonomy, thrives in ambiguous situations, and is able to earn trust and influence across a high level of seniority. The candidate possesses exceptional product management experience, insights into needs of Japanese customers and Sellers, a highly strategic mindset, and excellent business judgment. The candidate should also be able to collaborate with the technology teams to manage and define technology roadmaps and participate development through Agile. This role requires superior communication skills to effectively work with key stakeholders including category leaders, corporate multiple product and tech teams, marketing, legal, and account management teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Envision product direction, build strategies and product roadmap for Marketplace Pricing. Define KPI to measure program success.
2. Drive innovation on Pricing on behalf of customers and sellers.
3. Influence global technology roadmaps collaborating product teams and other technology stakeholders in Japan and US.
4. Hire and develop a team of product and program managers to ensure flawless execution of roadmap.
5. Work closely with category teams and product teams, identify seller business specific requirements, and get alignment with strategies of each product owner.
6. Discover and implement best practices from worldwide counterparts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
3. Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
4. Experience technical product management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
2. Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
