We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to some exciting growth within our Defence business, we are interested in speaking with an experienced Platform Solution Architect to join one of our live projects within our Defence Team.
Role Location:
You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require you to be 2-3 days per week onsite at Corsham on customer site.
The Opportunity:
As an experienced Platform Solution Architect, you will be working within our Defence team, working on a new large technology refresh project for one of our Defence customers. You will play a key role as the technical authority for the platform, taking a leading role in the development of Architecture and ownership of the design, configuration and specification requirements.
With a focus on the continued success of our Defence business stream, you will oversee the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; implementation and delivery; software training and support and project lifecycle and maintenance.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Implementing complex platform solutions including design, development, and testing
* Providing technical assurance in partnership with Technical Leads
* Drafting technical Statements of requirements for platform solutions
* Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements
* Production of high- and low-level technical designs & high level operating model designs
* Ensuring best practice Agile methodologies (including SCRUM & Kanban) are implemented and followed
* Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems
* Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components
* Deploying in a mixture of environments including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
* Managing relationships with our customers
* Ensuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an everchanging technology landscape
* Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required

* Working with customers to build Enterprise IT systems in the Defence sector
* Defining and assessing technical architectures, business requirements and solutions.
* Creation of technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
* Production of high & low level technical designs.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
