With a state-of-the-art youth and community centre in Westminster, featuring an IT suite, music/recording studio, astro-turf football pitch, dance studio, and skate park, we offer life-changing experiences. The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and driven Centre Manager to lead and develop our youth and community services. This is a unique opportunity to build a team, shape programmes, and expand our impact beyond London. You’ll have the full support of our engaged Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team, with access to marketing and PR expertise to help drive our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management & Service Delivery
* Design and deliver high-quality, engaging programmes for youth and community members.
* Lead and manage the staff and volunteer teams, ensuring outstanding service delivery.
* Expand outreach beyond our existing members to engage the wider local community.
* Participate in and oversee at least 30% of community sessions weekly.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
* Build strategic partnerships with local organisations, businesses, and funders.
* Represent Feathers Marylebone at borough hub and local cluster meetings.
* Promote the charity’s work to enhance visibility and secure new opportunities.
* Oversee budget management and financial procedures.
* Secure funding through grants and partnership opportunities.
* Provide data and case studies for marketing and fundraising initiatives.
Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance
* Ensure Health & Safety and safeguarding best practices are maintained.
* Act as the appointed Safeguarding and Fire Marshal Officer.
* Monitor and evaluate programme performance, providing impact reports to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Knowledge
* Proven management and leadership in youth and community services.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and operational procedures.
* Experience in budget management and funding applications.
* Ability to design, monitor, and evaluate high-impact youth programmes.
* Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.
* Previous Health & Safety responsibility and risk assessment experience.

Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 national qualification in Youth & Community Work (JNC recognised) OR a diploma in Higher Education in Youth & Community Work.
* Safeguarding Level 3 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
