Job Overview: South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our Children and Justice Services team. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals who have been referred to the service by the Courts. Your primary focus will be on providing assessments and interventions to help individuals overcome challenges related to drug use and involvement with the justice system.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working within a Justice or recovery-focused social work setting, with a sound knowledge of Drug Treatment and Testing Orders (DTTO) and Structured Deferred Sentence (SDS) assessments. You will work closely with adults, engaging with them, their families, and key partners to create tailored person-centered action plans. This role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage complex needs and behaviors.
