Children’s Residential Child Care Worker - Children's Residential Home
Salary : £11.90 per hour plus £60 sleep in rate (2on 4off shift pattern)

Exceptional Care is seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio in a residential setting in Rainford with relevant experience with children and young people (paid or volunteering).
Who are Exceptional Care?
Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children’s service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17 from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the North West.
Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs, and we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person.

Successful Candidates:
* Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent – or willing to work towards
* 1 years’ experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence - preferred
Your role as a Residential Child Care Worker:
You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs while safeguarding each young person at all times.
You will provide a high standard of care and support in a professional manner to vulnerable young people with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.
You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, being the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.
You will be part of a team that works together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person achieves positive outcomes and learning experiences.
Desired Criteria:
* Driver (preferred)
* NVQ L3 / L4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce (preferred or willing to work towards)
Required Criteria:
* Relevant experience with children and young people i.e. youth work, residential, sports coach, mentoring etc (paid or volunteering)
