We're looking for two Associate Geotechnical Engineers in Central London! Get hands-on experience with buildings & infrastructure projects of international significance.
The Company:
An international, multidisciplinary consultancy. Since being established in the 1980's, they have steadily grown to become one of the leading consultancies internationally, within their areas of expertise. There are approx. 800 expert staff in the company internationally, and the London office in Southwark sits at around 200 engineers.
The Role:
Due to a healthy forward pipeline of work, two Associate Geotechnical Engineers are required. You will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of the team and to manage and deliver the geotechnical aspects of a variety of prestigious buildings and infrastructure projects within the UK and overseas. This role will provide you with continuous exposure to collaborate with other teams and disciplines in the UK and overseas, as well as to interface with existing and prospective clients.
Duties:
1. Actively participate in developing UK practice and promote the company to existing and prospective clients.
2. Conduct geotechnical site investigations including testing, data logging, and technical reporting.
3. Delivery of high standard geotechnical designs.
4. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across mixed-use, commercial, urban, buildings, and infrastructure projects.
5. Planning and managing large-scale projects including coordinating the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reports, and monitoring project progress, scheduling/resourcing, and meeting deadlines and budgets.
Required qualifications and memberships:
1. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent, with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
2. Minimum 8 years industry experience.
3. Proven project management skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe, and client requirements).
4. An understanding of the business/organisation/marketing context of business solutions.
5. Well-developed consulting skills.
6. Ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
8. Chartered Member of the ICE or the Geotechnical Society or equivalent.
