Salary: Lecturer UH7 £37,099 with potential to progress to £45,163 by annual increments and designated skills and experience/ Senior Lecturer UH 8 £45,163 with potential to progress to £56,921 by annual increments and designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days (pro rata) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, across undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. They will contribute to the design and delivery of learning and teaching materials (including examinations). The post holder will co-ordinate and support the development of modules in degree programmes and undertake the role of module lead whilst liaising with Programme and Year tutors and those in other Subject Groups. You will develop research opportunities and scholarly activity in the field of clinical pharmacy practice.
Skills and experience required
Applicants must have clinical pharmacy practice experience working in hospital, community, or primary care. Relevant teaching and research experience, including contributing to successful research grant awards and/or publications are desirable. Proficiency in English Language, ability to plan and manage own activities effectively along with relevant IT Skills is essential. Proven recent and relevant post-qualification practical experience, for instance, experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, is essential for the Senior Lecturer post.
Qualifications required
The post holder will be educated with a minimum of a degree in pharmacy. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is also essential to the Senior Lecturer role. Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council is desirable for UH7 and essential for UH8.
