Provide 3rd Line Technical Support to the Customer Systems under support of the Enterprise Desktop Service.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement new Desktop Images for existing or new systems, using standard design patterns and technologies.
2. Design, implement and support deployment technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and System Centre Configuration Manager on Supported Systems.
3. Deliver routine Desktop Patch Cycles as required for the support systems.
4. Deliver routine Desktop Image updates to the Customers Virtualised Desktop Infrastructure as required.
5. Design and Deliver routine Group Policy Update cycles as needed.
6. Provide deep Troubleshooting/diagnostics of Desktop issues, using standard toolsets.
7. Design, implement and support security controls, using tools such as Applocker, Windows Firewall and System Centre Endpoint Protection.
8. Provide Technical Advice and Guidance to Customer Projects when requested on Desktop Deployment and Support technologies.
9. Assist with Discovery activities on new Systems being brought under support of the Enterprise Desktop Service.
10. Produce Design, Release and Support Documentation to a high standard for all supported systems.
11. Assist the Application Packaging team as requested with Packaging technologies such as Microsoft App-V and MSI methods.
Technical Skills:
1. Excellent knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 Desktop Imaging.
2. Good knowledge of Windows Lockdown using Group Policy to NSCS/Microsoft SCM Levels.
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Centre Current Branch, Implementation and Support, including OS Deployment, Application Deployment, Patching and Endpoint Protection.
4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for small system OS Deployments.
5. Good Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy Objects, including Applocker and Firewall Implementations.
6. Excellent knowledge of Troubleshooting using SysInternals tools such as ProcMon and NetMon.
7. Good Knowledge of Citrix Virtualisation for Desktops and Applications.
8. Experience with Application Virtualisation (App-V) and User Environment Virtualisation (UE-V).
This role is 5 days per week in the office in London.
