Material Handler, Warehouse and Distribution As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint a Material Handler to join our Warehouse and Distribution department in Pencoed on a permanent basis. This position will be working 7-day Fortnight (7 shifts across 14 days which include 12 hour days). About QuidelOrtho, Pencoed QuidelOrtho has been manufacturing products in South Wales for over 40 years. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, based in Pencoed, employs over 600 people who are involved in the manufacture and supply of clinical laboratory and immunohematology products to sites across the globe. Our Pencoed team manufacture a large menu of immunohematology products used in transfusion medicine; in addition to a large menu of immunoassay products encompassing a range of disease categories. On site we have a range of functions operating globally & locally. All our employees are working towards one common goal, to help save and improve lives through diagnostics. Your new role: As a Material Handler within our Warehouse and Distribution team, you will support production by ensuring that schedules for supply and replenishment are met in terms of time and accuracy What You’ll Be Doing: Use of forklifts and manual handling of all stock i.e. goods in, storage and dispatch to customers. ERP transactions associated with the movement of stock. Stock checking and cycle counts of all stock Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QRS/GMP, ISO, etc.). Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Daily inspection of manual handling/storage/lifting equipment and cold-rooms. Escalation of issues to supervisor.
